When considering membership into a sorority or fraternity there are several things you should think about:

 Why Do You Want To Be Greek?

There is more to Zeta than stepping, party hopping, throwing up a symbol, or doing an organization's call. If any of these are reasons why you want to be in a fraternity or sorority, you should stop reading now!

Service NOT Social!

This means that Zeta is looking for members who are dedicated to service, who are scholars, and who hold the true meaning of sisterly love in their hearts. When we say we want those committed to public service that does not mean someone who has only started doing community service because they want to participate in the intake process. Committed means that you have shown a consistent pattern of dedicating your time and energy to others. 

Are you willing to make a FINANCIAL commitment to Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc? It's not enough to pay to be in our organization - Zeta's business takes ongoing financial support.  Just because you meet the minimum requirements for membership doesn't mean you will be selected! Surprised? Don't be... Zeta is a MEMBERSHIP organization - you don't just AUTOMATICALLY get in.

Zeta is not just a lifetime commitment... Zeta is a LIFESTYLE!  If you cannot make Zeta and its demands FOR THE REMAINDER OF YOUR LIFE, please find another sorority.  If you are really in search of a TRUE sisterhood, ZETA is the one!

Below you will find the Psi Alpha Chapter's List of Top Ten reasons why you should and should not join Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. If you find that any reason under "why you should NOT join Zeta" falls under your list of reasons for wanting to be a Zeta, please do us a favor and SAVE YOUR TIME, AS WELL AS OURS. However, if you find that your reasons for wanting to be a Zeta are within the "why you should join Zeta" list, then come to Psi Alpha's Kitty Social held during the Fall semester.

1. You just want to get close to a Sigma
2. You just want to be in a sorority so that you can wear paraphernalia
3. You're just doing it because your mother and everyone else you know is a Zeta--so you figured why not?!
4. You're fascinated by our stepping abilities and quite frankly, you just want to step
5. You think that it will be easy for you to become a Zeta because we're "small" and "desperately" looking to take as many members as possible. (DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE!)
6. You love Zeta/Sigma parties and you want to get in free
7. You were rejected from your first choice and Zeta was your backup
8. Your favorite colors just happen to be blue and white, so you thinking it's a sign from God
9. You lack the ambition to work toward the principles on which Zeta was founded
10. You lack respect for yourself as well as others(including other Greeks)

1. We are God fearing women and we know that all is possible through Christ
2. We are strong, educated women who are excelling through all walks of life
3. We truly exemplify the meaning of sisterhood.
4. We perpetuate the ideals of Service, Scholarship, Finerwomanhood and Sisterly love on a daily basis
5. You believe in all of your heart that you are dedicated to our principles
6. You are concerned with the idea of quality instead of quantity
7. You consider yourself to be a lady of GOOD stature
8. You know that you have the potential to do great works for the organization
9. You believe in doing community service--not because you have to, but because you want to
10. You are willing to dedicate your life, not just your undergraduate years to the cause
